Hi,
We’re looking at mobile warehousing and streamlining our processes a bit and one of the things we’d like is to scan a code that takes you to an URL within Cetec but our URLs are too long to be practical for Code128 barcodes - what are our options (if any) for generating QR codes within Cetec labels instead?
Kind regards
Martin
I of course do not know if there are any options within Cetec.
But we are going to use excel to keep a structure of the URL’s that we need and then generate QR codes in excel(many tutorials online) and then print the sheets with codes for the diffrent locations in the warehouse.
One Idea we are exploring is to attach the qr code sheets to the products documents so that it is at hand for anyone using Cetec to print. Not quite sure that is doable though.
There is a way to set up QR codes for barcodes in Cetec but assistance with custom document work is billable time with our engineers. If you are familiar with HTML and Javascript you can edit them yourselves. I can reach out to our engineering team if you would like them to make the modifications or set up a call to help you work on your custom documents.
Thanks,
Cetec ERP Support
I think re-organising our warehouse (and internal processes) is going to be a longer term project than they originally envisioned.
Cheers
Martin
@msummers
I have come quite some way generating QR codes for important URL’s within Cetec.
I’d be happy to share my progress with you.
Drop me a message if you are still interested.
