I am writing to seek urgent assistance regarding a system glitch which leads the issue in our Receivable ledger and AR summary, we verify to overcome the issue at our end and found that our Foreign Exchange balance is out with the amount of 69,622,530.50 because of incorrect Exchange rate.
Link of AR summary has been pasted in below where you can inspect one of our credit memo is open against 50,000$ and rate incorporate is 1392.50 instead of 278 per dollar.
I would appreciate it if this matter could be treated with high priority and to overcome the issue as soon as possible.
The AR Summary is calculating the full credit memo amount of $250,000 @ $278 PKR. It looks as though the CR Memo has been recorded as receipt of cash payment of $250,000 from the customer as the ledger is CR AR and DR Cash account for funds received. Is that what actually occurred? Normally, a PrePayment from a customer is recorded as received on a Sales Order via the Sales Order menu, rather than with a CR Memo.
If you can explain what all your steps were on this Customer’s AR Payments, Invoices and what you expect to see as their outstanding balance (or Credit balance), that would be helpful to us in helping you to resolve this issue. However, understand that this would involve billable consult time for CETEC support to determine a plan to correct this customers’ AR account and give training instruction as to how to properly record Customer Prepayments in the CETEC system.
