MRP - Supply and Demand

Ran this report this morning. The second item shows a demand for 8 pieces for an order. No such order open. Item 3 does not have a demand also

Because of the timing of allocation refreshes, it’s hard to be 100% sure that what we’re seeing currently with that link matches what you originally saw.

Can you provide the PRCPart numbers for the parts that show demand that you believe should not be?We’d be happy to take a look and see if we can provide any insight in to the sitation.

Very strange, not listed at this time

Like I said, it may not be showing now because of allocation having since refreshed, which updates the supply/demand signals to MRP.

In the future, if you come across parts on MRP that you wouldn’t expect to see there, the first place I’d recommend looking is the part waterfall. You can either go to the part record and click the activity link, or click the info button on the line in MRP and click the waterfall tab. This will give you an overview of the different supply/demand signals that would be generating the need on MRP, and should help with investigation as well as making informed purchasing decisions.

Let us know if you have any other questions about it!
