Cannot change the number of decimals used in BOM calculation

Hello cetec support.


I have set every precision setting I can find to no more than 4 decimals.

Yet it shows with at least 6 everywhere.
It also messes up the QTY DUE during production.
see picture below.


I do not want 8 decimals.

How do I fix this?

A month has passed and we are still having the samme issues.

Take a look at this. I was not able to test it because we only use whole numbers (quantities).

It’s a shame that the video does not include an example of how this setting works on any of the areas of the ERP:

  • Part Pick list
  • Standard Waterfall
  • Create PQuote / Create WO quantity fields
  • Allocation
  • Order Material Report quantity fields
  • Release to Pick screen
  • Invoice Material tests
  • Invoice Cost Comparison for Est Material column
  • Order As Used in the “net qty required” column
  • Temp Bom Screen for quantity need

Thank you for pitching in. I have however tried this also.
But the issue persists.
I have also received a message from cetec support personell that they are working on a fix but I had forgotten that, so I posted here again. BLUSH

Here is the answer from cetec

“We are actively working on fixing this. It is a deeper problem that touches lots of major systems, so we want to make sure that it is done properly and not just a fast fix. We are sorry for the wait, but hopefully we have a fully built and tested solution by the next release.”

So I think I just need to stay patient…

The issue is that this rounding precision can drastically affect how inventory is tracked in different places and we don’t want to create a problem by fixing another. We are still working on this issue, thank you for your patience.
