We use the CC process in Cetec and I am trying to figure out how I can keep the system from recounting parts that have already been counted within their “Cycle”. I see that you have a couple of fields named “Creation Date”. How are these to be used?
Creation date is around when the Cycle Count was created. When creating a new Cycle Count, there is an info bubble at the top that says “Parts will not be included in New Cycle Count if a part already has a Cycle Count open or has no QOH in this location.”
What is your cycle count process? Are you doing system generated or user generated? Are you specifying parts for it, or going by ABC code?

Sorry for the late response…we use a system generated report, I select “30” for the number of parts we want counted ands a value of $100 total then parts are system selected… There are no cycle counts open as we complete and close them each week. What I am trying to understand is why in a say a 6 week span, parts to be counted are sometimes duplicated, vs Cetec only looking for parts that have NOT been counted.
Almost every other ERP system has a number of user defined fields that as selected/defined were taken into consideration when the system selected parts for cycle count.
Any update to what I am asking about related to cycle counts?
