While performing our cycle count, I noticed that the Actual Shelf Qty field allows scrolling in the cell, which changes the inventory quantity. This may be intentional, but I found it somewhat cumbersome. After entering the quantity using the keyboard, scrolling down with the mouse would sometimes unintentionally change the value. If someone isn’t aware of this behavior, it would be easy to miss that the quantity has been altered. I wanted to bring this up to confirm whether this is intended functionality or a potential bug.
Agreed here this is somewhat cumbersome… and could lead to some misalignment on counts done during a cycle count.
I’m going to check into the ‘Actual Shelf Qty’ field on the cycle count process to see if I can scroll within that field to increase/decrease the quantity.
I’ll reach out to engineering here to see if/why that’s intended functionality, and what we can do to potentially clean that up and reduce the risk of an errant quantity being input into that field.
I’ve created a ticket over to our engineering team to review/evaluate the design change that you’ve detailed out on the cycle count ‘Actual Shelf Qty’ field. I was able to reproduce the ability to ‘scroll’ up and down after applying a value in that field, which increased/decreased the quantity depending on the direction of the scroll.
They’ll review this request, along with potential issues with this feature, and I’ll be in touch with an update on how they want to handle this once it’s been sent back my way.

Our engineering team has built out a hotfix to remove that particular scrolling functionality on the Actual Shelf Qty field during a cycle count process.
Give that 10-14 days for the deployment to hit your environment and your Actual Shelf Qty field should function as a normal number input for that field.
