In our July AP Validation it is doubling the Debit Memo Value. Our fiscal year end was 7/31 and your prompt response would be appreciated so we can get our financials to our accountant for our corporate tax return. Thank you!

@sbeausoleil I’m not sure I understand what you mean by the value being doubled there. I’m not seeing anything glaring on the validation page you shared that is indicating a problem, but I may not be looking at the same thing you are. What are you seeing that indicates to you that there’s an issue with the debit memos?
In the box for “Debit Memos Created This Period” it says the Value is $57758.58, the Value Remaining is $59329.31, but the GL Value Total is $28888.83. Does this seem like the way it is supposed to appear to you?

Should I be concerned that this debit memo issue and the other question I posted regarding the P&L will affect our P&L and Balance sheet? Our fiscal year end was 7/31/24 and these reports are due to our accountants. I am trying to determine if I need to start work on a filing extension for our taxes.

We are checking into whether the issue is exclusive to the AP Validation report or if the Debit Memo at issue is affecting the aging report vs Balance Sheet GL balance. Will be getting back to you as quickly as possible.

I have confirmed that the GL is unaffected by the DR Memo being picked up twice in the AP Validation report…that DR Memo was both created and updated in July 2024 so the report is picking up both, whereas the GL has only one ledger entry to AP, so Balance Sheet/P&L do not have a double-entry affect.
We are looking into what the expected behavior is/should be on the AP Validation report and will let you know what we determine so that you will have an update on that as well.
