The cost of material and labor is not adding up. If you see the inside of a quote the total cost is showing as $6.2 however, the overall cost for the part is just $3.4. Could you please look into this and let me know what is wrong?

So, I’m seeing some different numbers than you are. When I go to the part record for the top level assembly here, I see that the default cost is $3.16562. It looks like that’s being determined by the last time this was sold. See the sales history here.
Here’s some information on how default price and cost for a part are determined:
I’m still trying to determine why the cost listed on the quote and the cost listed in the Markup Total edit screen don’t seem to match (and why they don’t match the dollar amounts you sent over), but I did have a question: I noticed that the second part on this BOM is OUT12105. Is that an outsourcing service, or is it an actual part? When I went to its part record here, I noticed that it was set as an inventory part, whereas if it is an outsourcing service, I would expect it to be set as a non-inventory part.
Can you let me know more about OUT12105 and we’ll go from there?
Yeah I did change the OUT12105 cost today which is why there is a slight change in the cost now. I’m more concerned about the mismatch in the cost in the mark up edit screen.
To answer your question, yes, it is an outsource service but we have to pick the parts when we receive it so it has to be inventory.
An update: Our product management team had been working on some known issues on the quote BOM worksheet, and they just put through a fix for that. I went back into your quote, and the cost listed on the Markup Total Edit pop-up window is now showing as $3.07.
Can you try going back into that quote and seeing if the numbers look right now?
