I am now getting an error when importing files for various GL entries that I process. I have done this many times and it always works, but now I am getting an error message. In addition the entries post to the various account and then post an automatic opposite reversing entry. Nothing has changed on my side. Please look into this and advise. Thanks.
@DennisG01 Without knowing exactly what steps you’re using for the import, or exactly what your data file contains, it’s going to be tough to know exactly what is causing that error.
A couple of questions to try to get some more information:
- despite the error, have you checked the ledger to see if those entries were created? There are situations where something that could otherwise be an alert or warning is represented as an error, but in fact everything may have gone through anyway.
- the error message lists a number of specific rows. Are you able to identify what’s unique about those rows versus the others that may be causing some sort of problem?
