I saw someone had a similiar issues back in Feb '22, but im not sure i understood well enough to proceed. TIA.
Should be a Rework Order RMA 418, Line 6. When I try to Complete/Receive, I get the following error:
I will look into this and get back to you. This error means that somehow an internal PO didn’t get created. I am going to try and figure out how to bring that back.
Could you give me the steps you took when you created that order off of the RMA? We aren’t sure how it got created without an internal PO being created as that is required. I had an engineer look at it and wasn’t able to find anything so they asked for more details. Could you possibly give us the step by step of this so we can try and replicate?
We still aren’t sure how this happened so reproduction steps would be great but we have a way forward. You will need to dekit line 6 on the work order them delete the order. The only way to fix this will be to recreate the order after that.
OK, so i guess straight up:
Sales-> Invoices-> RMA
And then the EE created the Rework Order first, and then created the Receiving PO second. EE believes this is how they have done them previously as well (I havent seen this issue before, but maybe i havent processed those Rework orders yet?).
Based on what you have said and if this issue is spread across the entire 13 lines in the RMA, it it likely we will need to dekit and delete all lines, and then make new lines after that?
It would be best too delete the order entirely and create a new one. In this case you should only have to dekit line 6 because that seems to be the only one you have picked. Then delete the order. This will unlink it from the RMA so you can create a new order. You will want to be sure rework to stock is checked on the RMA screen when you create the internal work order. Be sure an internal PO is created which you can check by looking on the left side of the order and there should be something that says internal PO.
I haven’t been able to figure out how that order was created without an internal PO but that will fix the issue. If you happen too have this happen again please let us know right away and if you can document the steps as closely as possible that would be great.
