We manually remove the “User” role to fix it, but it keeps coming back. Can you please look into this and let us know why this is happening and how to stop it?

I see that you’ve removed all of the ‘user’ roles that have been added to your users. I’m going to set a calendar event to check back in on this tomorrow (around the same time) and again on Saturday to see if I can catch the system adding all of those back in.
If I can catch the system adding the user role to all users across the board I’ll get this sent over to engineering to see what’s going on there.
In the meantime, I’ve ran the user list report for all users that have the ‘User’ role assigned to them. If need be go ahead and remove that from the 4 individuals here:

Today, when I arrived at the office and checked the user list, I noticed that the “User” role had been automatically added to all users again. This is still causing issues across all departments, disrupting office work.
I’ve coordinate with engineering on the ‘User’ role that keeps getting added to it. That role is being automatically added every night because that role is required/purposeful for the Cetec ERP system.
It’s the basic ‘I’m a user’ role. That role is used specifically for the Security by Role configs in your environment. That’s a default role for all users in Cetec ERP and it should be set for their profiles.
You may need to go into your security by role configs here - Cetec ERP and make sure that you don’t have the ‘User’ role config set in any of the block config settings there.
The intention around that user role is that you can give permission to ‘User’ as a way of giving permissions to all users in the system without having to manually adjust/create roles/assign/etc.
Since this was added as a default, it gets added every night for the majority of this release. After this release, this will stop being automatically added into your environment (the new version of v4.17 should discontinue the adding of that user role once you receive it’s release).
Head over into the security by role config settings that I provided above (Cetec ERP Link) and make sure that the ‘User’ role is not set in any of the block configs there.
The ‘User’ role shouldn’t be blocking access to any of the modules unless you have them set in the ‘block’ config setting. This should also be the same for ‘accessing’ modules in the system… the user role shouldn’t impact a users ability to access a module if they have additional user roles assigned to their profile.
