Is there a way to mass update inventory quantities or remove the inventory quantities/bins with an adjustment like Cycle count? We have a downloaded list from CETEC with too many parts to manually adjust.
Thank you!
There currently isn’t a way to mass update inventory qty’s via the UI tool (data import tool) in the system.
Although this is something that I can check with our engineering team on regarding writing a script to update inventory qty’s based on what you provide via an xls spreadsheet. Although this is something that is considered billable engineering time to do.
Would you like me to reach out to our engineering team for a quote/estimate on this? How many bins are you wanting to update the inventory qty for based on what you exported?
Thanks,
Cetec ERP Support
Yes, please advise projected cost if you would. Updates would be for roughly a couple thousand PRCPART/BIN Quantities
Thank you!
Hey Steve,
Could I get the name of the company you’re wanting to update those prcpart inventory qty’s for? That’ll help with coordinate internally on the quote that you’re requesitng for!
Thanks,
Cetec ERP Support
Sure, that is Electrical Accessories
Could you please advise if they have an estimate for this upload? Thank you!
Steve
Hey Steve,
I see you’ve got around 7 thousand prcpart bins located in your environment (/part/list_by_location?reloaded=1&part_search=&bin_search=&description=&expire_from_date=&expire_to_date=&created_from_date=&created_to_date=&lot_code=&lock_bin=all&boms_only=all&abc_code=all&Contact_Qty_restriction=&second_preferred_supplier_bc_restriction=&third_preferred_supplier_bc_restriction=)
I’ve generated a ticket internally to have that quote of a couple thousand bin quantities to be updated via script by our engineering team. I’ll be in touch here shortly with that update from them and the estimated amount of hours required to update those for you.
Thanks,
Cetec ERP Support
Steve,
Our engineering team has provided an estimate of 3-5hrs billed at actual time spent to update a couple thousand bin quantities in your environment.
If you approve please let me know by responding to this thread. Once approved, I’ll get the order in place for our engineering team and have an account manager reach out directly to coordinate gathering the xlsx spreadsheet from you that’d be required.
Thanks!

Thanks for that estimate! Could you please send the current rate? - I’ve forgotten what that is
Are the hours estimated for a one-time upload? Just wanted to check in case we need to do more than one time. Thanks!
Steve,
Yes that’s an estimate for a one time upload of the data, validation on our end, and finally pushing that into your environment.
If we were to need another go around due to an additional data load that’d require another estimate from engineering based on the second data file provided after (or updates that need to be made, items changed, etc etc).
Thanks!
Hello!
Could you please email me or call me so we can get this started? I just received some information and they are trying to accomplish this on a count they are currently doing as soon as possible.
I had one or two questions on a possible change but we are ready to move forward!
Thank you!
Steve
Hello
Could you please help us start on this project? Can you call or email me?
Thank you!
Claiming this ticket. Let me know what you’d like for me to communicate to our developers and I will get you an updated quote. Thank you!

Thanks a lot for your response! In an effort to expedite this project I would like to propose breaking it into 2 smaller pieces, one hopefully might be an easy program for you guys that you could get back to us fairly quickly on (within a week?), and the second part just let us know when complete:
-
Move a group of inventory items from our Main warehouse to a newly created warehouse we can create called OB. This would allow us to then run ERP reports while you guys are programming the second piece of this, and analyze
-
We would like to update inventory quantities for a list we upload in Excel in whatever way you guys think would be the easiest to accomplish. We can assume that we are changing all qtys from something to zero, as we are pulling obsolete inventory from our system. Please advise
Again, thanks for your response and look forward to working with you guys on this!
Steve
Thank you for your response. In regards to, “Move a group of inventory items from our Main warehouse to a newly created warehouse we can create called OB. This would allow us to then run ERP reports while you guys are programming the second piece of this, and analyze.”
Would you mind sharing with me which inventory items you would specifically like moved from the Main warehouse to the OB “warehouse?”

Sure! I have a list in Excel. If you email me I can send directly to you! Would that work?
Steve,
That works great. I’ll email you.
