mis-spelling in User Homepage field prevents user from logging in

We had a user who accidentally typed in an incorrect homepage address (for example mistyping “hhttps://”) and it completely prevented this user from logging in with no ability to troubleshoot issue. I’m wondering if there could be a “default” homepage that could be reached if a user incorrectly types in the address in the homepage field.

We can definitely pass along the suggestion to maybe redirect to the dashboard or something if the user’s homepage doesn’t load for some reason.

A couple of things that you should be able to do if you run in to that again:

  • Have that user enter the URL for a specific page in Cetec, like …/order/list, instead of just the main company.cetecerp.com address.
  • An admin user should be able to go in and edit the user to either remove/correct the homepage URL to allow that user to be able to get logged in

yes. The user copied the URL to the Date-range specific Production Order page and set that as his main home page. He made a mistake in the copying but that left him unable to log in completely. It wasn’t until a 2nd admin user logged in and then figured out that if a homepage isn’t perfectly correct, it completely prevents the user from logging in…
