Can I get information and pricing for Multi-Factor Authentication

Hey Pat,

I’ve got documentation on the setup of MFA here for you - Cloud Business Cases: Two Factor Authentication

Regarding the ‘pricing’ for this - I don’t believe there’s a price established with the setup of Multi-Factor Authentication in your Cetec instance. This just requires you to first setup MFA on the user profile, download an app that functions with this requirement (i.e. Google Authenticator), and then link the account to the authenticator.

Can I turn this off if I choose to at a later date?

Hey Pat,

Of course, you can absolutely disable it down the road if you no longer need to use MFA. There’s an additional step here that needs to be completed before disabling it though:

You need to make sure you check the ‘Exempt from Two Factor Authentication?’ checkbox before you hit the ‘Disable Multi-Factor Authentication’ button on the users profile.

That’ll make sure they’re exempt before disabling it so they don’t run into access issues there.

I put the code in (Google) and i am getting a error for Multi-Factor Auth.

I do not see the example to disable the Multi-Factor. What page is this on? I am looking at My Profile and Two Factor.

Hey Pat,

You can disable MFA via your user profile here.

Once you go into your user profile there, you need to work through 2 steps:

  1. Check the Exempt from Two Factor Authentication? box.
  2. Click the orange Disable Multifactor Authentication button.

This will exempt you from MFA, and then disable it via the orange button. That in turn clears your profile from MFA.

ok, I was able to disable the MFA. But why does the MFA not work for me? CetecERP shows up on my Google Authenticator app and gives me codes.

When I go into my profile & hit the Two Factor hyperlink redirecting me to that page.. we provide a QR code. I then use the google authenticator option (QR Code) and I scan that with my phones camera.

That then auto-assigns a new code to that particular profile (in this case mine) and I’m able to use that specific code to enable my login process.

Are you using the code that’s provided after scanning the QR code with your phone camera directly from the google authenticator app? You can also generate a brand new code on the app (by hitting the plus icon) and type that code into the Two Factor page below the QR code we provide. There’s a field there prompting you for a 6 digit code to validate the link is correct.

I’ve run into a case where I was using the wrong code on my google authenticator app to try and login. In that case we wouldn’t allow you into the system due to the mismatched codes - I then removed it and worked through that process again. It was successful after resyncing the QR code & google authenticator app.
