Could you please review this internal order and advise why an internal PO was not automatically created for this order as it always is for internal orders? Cetec ERP
We did a workaround to receive in the material manually, but we’d like to avoid future occurrence. Thanks!
Hey Sherri,
I am looking at this now. Have there been any other occurrences like this?
Thanks,

Sherri,
Can you also walk me through how this order was created?
Thanks

We have not seen other occurrences. I have asked the person who created the internal order to walk us through how the order was created and will provide any info she can provide when I hear back. Thank you!
Thanks Sherri,
As a note, the quote for this order is still showing as ‘opened’, a few weird things here. Engineering is looking into this so that process will be super helpful for us.
That said, engineering would like to mark that quote as closed in your environment, is that ok with you?
Yes, that quote may be marked closed in our environment. Thank you for the insight and assistance!
We have done the best we can by memory on what happened with this order and did come up with an unusual circumstance that happened with this issue:
Purchasing used quotes/new quote/added in internal account/ and added all the info and then sent to Estimating for review of pricing.
After approval, Purchasing created an internal work order for cut to size pieces and ordered material off that. Then Purchasing went back to the main internal order and created the outsource po in the way it is normally done and sent that on for approval.
When this got to production planning, it was discovered by Production Planning that the internal order came “through as 3 lines of 64ea”, instead of the one line of 64 each that it was supposed to be.
Purchasing reviewed it and saw the 3 lines but was unsure why that happened.
As we recall, Production Planning reopened the quote to delete two of the 3 lines - leaving the only one that was needed.
Hope that helps. If there are any questions, please feel free to let me know. Thank you!
