I have ‘pick required’ selected for my labor plan, but I am still able to complete the operation without picking parts.
Hi @aazary
Thank you for submitting this issue.
Are you using your profile as an admin user here? Do all users in your Cetec instance have the ability to complete the operation without picking the parts despite the Pick Req’d, or does this seem to only occur with profiles that have Admin privileges?
This will help me narrow the scope of the issue to determine if this is a role-specific situation or a bug at play. Thank you for your help!

Hi,
I tested this with an account without admin privileges, and I am able to complete the operation without having parts picked.
Here are the roles of the user account that I tested this with:
AllPQuotes, Can Edit BOM, Part Edit, Production, User, Warehouse, WorkInstructions
Thank you for the clarity on the roles you’re testing. I’ll begin internal testing to determine if there’s a security setting by role or configuration that’s allowing a bypass of the required pick parts checkbox, or if this is a bug. I’ll keep you updated on my findings.

@aazary Confirmed… this is indeed a bug. Great catch! I’ve escalated the issue to the Cetec engineering team for review and resolution. I’ll keep you updated with progress as we work through each step.

I wanted to you update that engineering is actively working on a fix. I will let you know once the fix is made, has been tested, and has been deployed towards your environment.
Typically bug fixes, once deployed, take between 7-10 days to arrive in customer environments, this is the standard timeframe we see from a Support expectations perspective.
I will confirm with you once this fix has been finalized and deployed.

I expect a fix to be done by the end of tomorrow at the latest.
I noticed there is a config setting in your environment turned on called “Workorder-Require All Work Instructions To Be Completed.” This means that a sign-off is required for every work instruction step. Once the fix is deployed, if you turn off that config setting, just picking the parts will remove the hold. If you keep the config on, you’ll need to pick the parts and then provide a signature for the work instruction step. Either way is fine, I just wanted to ask if that was an intentional decision or not.
Thanks Alex!
