Production Line Issue

Hi,
We create a new production line “EPZ SUB-COMPONENTS” and we assign line to multiple orders. but when we go in production->orders-> production order list-> and select production line “EPZ Sub-components”. Nothing order will display in screen.

Could you provide some orders that you set this production line for? I can look into this more but some examples would help me get to the bottom of this.

I looked into this and it seems that it’s not keeping the production line on the edit screen and it’s showing as N/A which is why it won’t show up on the list. It’s displaying like it’s there on the view screen but it isn’t actually there. I’ll be escalating this to engineering and get back to you.

The issue here is your work center has more than 10 characters in the work center field. The description is what shows on orders so you should put some kind of code into the work center field that is less than 10 characters. Once you make that work center less than 10 characters it will work on the order. Cetec ERP

Thanks, that solution worked. However, I have one question. If you look at work center ID “11,” we created a production line called “Sub-Components,” which has more than 10 characters, yet it works. Similarly, I created a new line called “EPZ Components,” which also has more than 10 characters, and it’s working now. So, I’m not understanding the logic behind the 10-character limit. Could you please clarify this?

It looks like we were mistaken and it is actually a limit of 15 characters. We will be making a fix though that will make the limit 40 characters so you shouldn’t have this issue in the future.
