How to go about adding Rev level to a part number.
Hi Susan!
Thank you for your question! Can you provide a little more detail about Revision Levels? Is there a specific scenario you’re looking at? You can define multiple revisions for both BOM and Non-BOM parts by navigating to the part and selecting revisions on the left nav menu.
Thanks!
I am trying to assign a rev level to a non BOM part number that already exists. Currently in the part shows when I go to the rev sidebar it shows an unnamed Rev, so I added new Rev as rev 0, and in the drop down for current rev I put in “yes” and active. Not sure what locked or unlocked should be or represents. Then I went in the order itself and chose that Rev in the drop down. I can view the rev in the order put the PDF to send to customer does not show. Another issue is the Rev levels dont show up on the reports for open sales or po’s. Is there a tutorial on entering rev levels on existing parts and when entering new parts?
The Order PDF does have an option to show the revision… it shows in the prcpart column in parenthesis. Instead of going to the Quick PDF… click on PDF and you will be able configure what columns appear for the line.
There are a number of tutorials on how revisions can be added and maintained through ECOs.
Thanks!
@Susanm-1977 For the order list and the PO list make sure you are viewing those reports by line rather than than the header object… when you load the report by line it gives you the option to display part revision.
