Sales Order Editing

@cetecerp15
When Adding a Line in the Sales Order Edit screen
/order/MN1215.1/edit

I am not allowed to enter fractional quantities–say 1.5 of FIGLABOR for 1.5 hours of labor.

BUT, after the line is in place, I am allowed to change the quantity from 1 to 1.5.

Yes i have a work around, but i think there is a bug on quantities for line editing/adding.

Greg,

Let me test this out a bit and see what I see. I’ll get back to you with a response after that.

Thanks,

Hello again,

Testing this out, it seems to be working to use a fractional quantity when entering a part for the first time on a quote. Would you be able to test this again and see if it is working for you now?

Thanks,

Cetec ERP Support

nope:

again, i’m editing a rework order that is already committed and adding line items, for example,
/order/MN1225.1/edit

Greg,

Thanks. I am checking to see if this is normal behavior or a bug. I do know that normally labor is tracked in a different way that would avoid the need to put a decimal number here.

Here is some information about labor tracking for your reference:

The behavior is also present in something with UOM “Feet”, such as our RAW11414.

we have to line item quote everything on rework orders per our Government contracts

Gotcha. Okay, that makes sense now. We’re looking into this to see what may be going on.

Greg,

I’ve sent this over to our engineering team to get their take on it. I appreciate your patience, and will let you know when I have a response from them.

Thanks,

Greg,

Update on this: The engineers have put in a fix for this and they expect it to take effect within the next several days.

Thanks for your patience,

Great. Thank you @cetecerp15

Haha, glad to help!
