We have a number of different standard products with different configurations and optional accessories. We’d like to setup templates for the Business Development team with default language on the quotes as well as a default lists of products/accessories (kind of like the front end of a car-quote configurator).
A little bit of work on the front-end to create the template for each product will save substantial work on the quote generation side as well as provide consistency of the quotes to customers.
FIG20002 is a standard product and it has of number of optional RAW, FIG, DOC, and SUB parts that a customer may want to purchase, for example.
FIG20002-CUSTOMER_A has the core FIG20002 plus some set of additional items included and then we want to offer the remaining subset of optional RAW, FIG, DOC, and SUB parts.
FIG20002-CUSTOMER_B has the core FIG20002 plus some different set of additional items included and then we want to offer the remaining, different subset of optional RAW, FIG, DOC, and SUB parts.
Is there a means to do some sort of pre-configured quotes within Cetec or to import a spreadsheet/list of parts to populate the quote line items (and have the system pull in current pricing)? We’ve tried quote cloning but come across issues using that method. We’re looking for a better front-end on the quote generation side, I suppose.
