Scrap Request Not Adding to Orders BOM

This morning we noticed that when we request more with the reason as scrap it does not add the quantity that we are requesting to the Net Qty Required on the orders. We use this to add our scrap to each order that is needed. Let me know if there is anything that we need to do. Thanks.

This issue is still a persistent problem that we are having and is starting to affect some workflow with having to take extra time to over pick things correctly so that we don’t mess up our inventory counts.

Thanks,

Matthew

We are still having this issue with our scrap request not increasing the Net Qty Required on orders. This is starting to affect our inventory counts. Thanks!

Is there anyway we can get help with this issue? We have been having this problem for about 2 months now.

Referencing this How-To:

Note that the Part Request creates an overpick to the component, reflecting that you are consuming more than originally required (and highlighting that the part is in fact scrap). So the Net Qty required won’t change - the qty consumed/picked will!

Thanks,

Cetec ERP

That helps us when we have the product on hand and in inventory. How are we supposed to go about when we don’t have more product on hand or in inventory? It is all picked to a job and we need to scrap an amount to show that we are in need to order more and drive the demand to show we need to order more through the MRP.

For example in the picture below: Line 3 had 6 picked to the order and the order is fulfilled. Now if we need to scrap out one of the terminal blocks on line 3 because we damaged one, how are we supposed to go about getting Cetec to show that we are in need of one more?

Thanks,

Matthew Rogers
