I’m encountering an issue with the way decimals are being separated.
In certain areas (like POs, Vouchers, etc.), thousands are separated by a period (“.”) and decimals by a comma (“,”). An example from a PO:
However, on the receiving screen, thousands aren’t separated, while decimals are marked with a period (“.”).
An example from receiving screen showing 14 euro and 84 cents:
Thanks for your question… apologies for the late response. It’s a bit of rework to change the Add Stock screen to a richer currency input… right now the input is a number so that’s why it uses a period as the decimal separator. At some point in the future we may add support for currency input but that would likely be in a completely new version of that screen.
Alright, now I’m confused. I’m referring to the Receiving Parts screen (Warehouse >> Receiving >> Receiving Parts). Are you talking about the same page? What do you mean by ‘the input is a number’? The column is named Cost(EUR) and the description is ‘Unit Cost’, so I don’t understand where the problem is…
@Michalis the field does represent a currency amount but it’s constrained to numerical input for technical reasons. There are a number of issues with changing it to a field that accepts text input as that allows for introducing errors for many of our customers. We will definitely consider switching that in the future but for now it’s not something we can add on short notice without an extensive testing regime to make sure most customers will not be negatively effected.
