Stock parts - Work Start date

When creating a Work Order or Confirmation, I find that stock parts do not have the ability to set a Work Start Date. Can this default be changed?

Example is order 11058.

The work start date matches the dock date which is intentional functionality. You can set the dock date however you’d like to set the work start date.

We use the Work Start Date to indicate when the part will be received into our inventory. The ship & dock date would be a later date dependant on the customers request.

How can I have two different dates?

Unfortunately for stock and charge lines you can’t have a work start date that is different from the dock date. This is intended system functionality. You can turn this config setting off and it will use the ship date instead if that is more helpful StockOrder_Default_WorkDate_to_DockDate. You can make a note on the line comment to show when you are going to receive the parts as an alternative.
