Use of "Scheduled" or Unscheduled" on a PO line

I have been looking all over…where would I find how to use the use of “Scheduled” or 'Unscheduled" function on a PO line. I’ve tried it but not getting the expected results, so I must be doing something wrong?

The Scheduled and Unscheduled functions are just a flag on the PO. They do not prevent or cause anything in the system to happen. Users will use this function for various reasons including whether or not a PO should arrive by a specific time. This is just for visibility for the customer.
